ALERT! Fraudulent ChecksThe Shattuck National Bank (SNB) located in Shattuck, Oklahoma, has received inquiries as to the authenticity of checks that appear to be presented against accounts at SNB. The cover letter acompanying the checks are from “FSC – First Security Corporation PLC” or “Pacific trust Financial Services”. Both companies have Canada addesses and are marked “Final Notice”. The letters request that the recipient deposit the funds and wire those funds to cover expenses or taxes. Pursuant to SNB’s due diligence in regard to the underlying accounts
upon which information is being requested, these checks appear to be
fraudulent. Upon reception of correspondence from these entities or from
other unknown entities requesting similar actions, SNB asks that copies
of any checks and or correspondence be faxed to SNB at (580) 938-2947 so
that we may forward the information to our fraud department. |
